FRUIT FLY & MOSQUITO was established by Mikiko Kanno, a New York City-based artist, and Naoko Arimura, an accessories designer, in 2014. 

 

Mikiko and Naoko have each adopted a cat and are avid cat lovers.   
Both Mikiko and Naoko are heartbroken by the staggering numbers of cats are killed every year all over the world and they consider it a severe problem. 
When they founded Fruit Fly & Mosquito, they had one small but clear goal; they want to use their talents be a part of a solution to this problem.

 

All items are designed with original cat illustrations. They are created, printed and made in New York. Currently、 all those unique items are available on their Etsy site.  
They also participate in various craft shows in NYC a few times a year.
